Everything from changing aspects of gameplay to adding new monsters and items to the game can be done with the modding tools. 'Mod developers will be able to download a custom Unreal Engine editor, letting them create a whole host of modifications to the game.
Nice building though, innit? Some nice villages there. Survive 'em ups are hardly short of dickishness in the first place. Having NPC slaves as a resource is a weird one, innit? Oh sure, Conanaria is a grim and gritty world - and created in 1930s America - but even just as part of the game, it seems a piece of tone-setting that might foster dickish mindsets. I'll gab more about mods in a mo but, first, let's remind ourselves of its town-building and summonable godpals: Conan Exiles is looking more polished than a lot of survive 'em ups, on paper/in slick trailers anyway, and mod support is a fine addition.
They should be available right when it hits Steam Early Access on January 31st, letting folks get right down to fiddling with it. Funcom today announced that their craft-o-build-a-murder-e-survival sandbox Conan Exiles will support mods with official tools.
